Thanks lex-ographical content
Hi, I extracted text via Whisper AI and GPT-4 summarised it:
1. Advice for beginners in machine learning:
– Focus on putting in 10,000 hours of work
– Form a daily habit of working on the subject
– Compare your progress to yourself in the past, not others
2. Overcoming paralysis by choice:
– Don't worry about making mistakes; they help you learn and grow
– Focus on what you have accomplished and the work you have done
3. Teaching and its benefits:
– Teaching can be frustrating, but it helps others learn
– Preparing educational material is hard work (about 10 hours for 1 hour of content)
– Teaching strengthens one's understanding and reveals gaps in knowledge
4. Code as the source of truth:
– Building things and using actual code to teach concepts is more effective than using slides or mathematical symbols
This structured summary highlights the main points discussed in the podcast, making it easy to understand the key takeaways.
"Work is not fun"
"What matters is how much you do, not what you do" -> 10,000 hrs
"You should check if you are better than you 1 year ago, not to others"
For software engineers the scar tissue is real, eventually you learn that clean code is a necessity and why exactly people care.
just spend 10,000 hours lol
So 3-4 years
Mentors describing topics of their paid course while promoting be like
ok i will spend 10.000 hours today
If you have to explain something to someone, you realize you have gaps in knowledge.
This rule of 10,000 hours to master th subject of AI ML DL may b true but knowing this before hand can b a great demotivator for someone who is 40+ already hav a different professional backgroundand and has to make a living
If any working person spends 3 hours per day on learning this subject then it wil take 9 to 10 years to master it and by that time things have already become obsolete
Thanks
In short there is no shortcut
AKaka GoAT
ridiculous. 10k hours is for idiots…good luck tracking your time for what?..5-10 years. absurd.
So just do something for 1.1 years
10,000 hours? No. You don’t need a study over four and a half hours a day for every single day for six years to gain a beginners foundation. You would definitely spend 10,000 hours in the course of ALL your study as you are constantly learning but for beginners to be job ready for an entry level job is not this much in every case. If you had that much and you learned at a good rate you would be very prepared for something entry level though. For as I guess as small as this guy is, he sure didn’t answer Lex’s question at all.
Maybe he just wants to see if he can make a human overfit xD
Bro is excelled in non-answers
10,000 hours is over 13 years if you spend 2 hours daily.
seen many doctors who spend more than 20 k hours wrong on a subject that I spend 20 hours reading the right UPDATED book
Why not put your name whole live in it?
Quit sleep, eating and talking, or texting, and get to work 10K hours!😁
10 hours to create 1 hour contents…. thanks for your patience and hard work. Really appreciate it!
