I can imagine AI launching nukes, then writing a poem about it. Fermi Paradox Solved!
Sean Webb interview on "Shaw Ryan Show" . . .
I just don't buy the hype. It's nothing but code at the end of the day, and they have an off button. The other humans are what worry me!
AI: I figured out your problems, 95% of the population must be uninstalled
When Artificial Superintelligence is achieved, you'll be one of the first to be killed 😂😂😂
AGI is what computers can do in the movies.
Please 9-1-1 and AI……no comparison whatsoever. Strettttttttttttch!
Comparing Ai to 9/11 Jesus Christ enough with the overhype. What’s next “ai takes over we’re all dead” next week?
This is the most sane comment section I have ever seen, anywhere, on AI, and Joe, thank you for giving the most reasonable look on AI I could find in the past year.
Honestly, what I hate most about AI discussions is that human layoffs are used as their strongest argument, and so I’m glad you don’t try to appeal to the humanities here Joe. Traditional artists beg for AI driving vehicles, replacing doctors, and more, just before their little hobby gets devalued. Its depressing the safest tool to distribute widespread is also the most mocked, but this video at least has my hopes miles higher than the others.
Also , its pretty scary that the connections between AI and nuclear weapons, AI and CEO-decision-making, and AI and art, AI and art have the most fear in job replacement. AI art, unlike many of these AIs mentioned here, actually require a prompt, so when people parrot about how an AI can be racist or sexist, it is literally because the person gave the AI an ineffective prompt.
Also, unlike the visions of a future where AI replaces coders, AI replaces news reporters, and AI replaces artists, art once again is brought into the top 10 things to fear about in AI, even if all of this hype is manmade and unnecessary. I am very disappointed with how people are treating blood, sweat, and tears as valid arguments for why an industry shouldn’t automate, because all of the videos, images, and music we listen to on a daily basis have to have that tragic doofenshmirtz backstory. Because for every one person that wants to paint a moment of pure bliss or pure agony on a canvas, we have a thousand people who are too exhausted to “devote scarce hours to learn how to draw”.
Generative ai is actually a lot more like giving someone the ability to download a machine gun.
Humans will lead to the extinction of humans before AI does us in.
We’re creating ai to solve problems? We’re in big trouble. We are the problem.
This reminds me of an article I read in the 1990s about the supercomputer company Thinking Machines. The first and second gen computers were designed by engineers. The third generation computers were designed with the help of the 2nd generation computers. The engineers would look at the schematics proposed by the supercomputer and some of it "was over their head". The computer was already engineering some stuff beyond the engineers abilities… and this was the 1990s. lol
I don’t recall, and I’ve tried to look through your videos, have you touched on Samsungs Neon?
AI is already in control so relax maybe take up golf or consider heavy medications or strong spirits while watch favorite streaming sevices about nothing real or controversial.
Osama won. If you don't agree you are a plant.
A law group just got in trouble for using AI on a case. It broke some laws and lied. A big part of the problem is AI gives answers even when it cant find the right information, and those answers are often wrong. You cant trust AI. Verizon thinks it can use AI to replace customer service agents. Except the AI cant solve most problems and just gives the fewer customer service reps more work. I havent seen an AI yet that is anywhere close to superceding humans. If anything, I only have more respect for how incredible the human brain truly is.
AI drones on the other hand need to be banned immediately. Hoover said to beware of the military industrial complex. That day is here. The MIC are constantly pulling strings in the background, making sure we are always at war and dependent on fossil fuels. What weapons and energy companies are doing to the earth and humanity is what people should really fear. They dont care if their drones hit the wrong target as long as they make a profit. In a democracy the people are supposed to be in charge.
The people gave up their power because they have their heads buried in social media, constantly manipulated by the news on both sides (news is not supposed to have a "side) and fighting about nothing with each other. In that sense, AI has been controlling humans for awhile now. The pathetic thing is all the humans have to do is unplug and think for themselves. We have to be our own journalists, always checking our sources are correct and that the research being quoted is real and un-biased. We have to go directly to the source (i.e. your favorite politicians bills and voting record that is easy to see on the federal govt website) AI is winning, but its only because humans choose to be stupid.
