Any idea if the Autel Alpha would be considered a "approved" drone to operate in certain locations, in the US?
Thanks as usual!! I’ll try to join the live 👌🏽🙏🏼
These comments are rough regarding the fine amount. Jeez people, mistakes happen even in top notch news. That’s why there are compilations all over the internet.
$279. $2.79 Million. $279 Million. How much did they really win?
$279M not 2.79m right?
Error: Greg, your dollar amount verbally said for the DJI settle my was in hundreds not millions. And please tell us more about this as I’ve read so many more interesting facts about what patents were infringed
Why is it the "small givernment" South is doing heavy handed top down control of device avsilability?
That Autel leak seems a normal PR stunt.
Frankly, filing a LAANC always makes me feel safer when flying, hoping they don't make that process more difficult as you can see where people will likely fly anyway and in the end I don't think that's what they want.
Autel products and customer service are inferior to that of DJI – in my opinion.
Title says $279 million. Thumbnail says $2.79 million. At 0:50 you said $279.00. Dude, what's going on?
Why isn't every single drone company named in this lawsuit? Why just DJI? Why not Skydio? Their drones auto hover… their drones track vehicles, right? I'm sure Frank Wang had access to Bell's tech while he was in college… sure. This is all bs and it's so annoying. I mean, ask yourselves, what took them so long? Why now all of a sudden?
All together now… THANK YOU SKYDIO! Thank you for every person that can't be found, every first responder that gets put into harm's way and every other messed up situation that comes from their dirty, underhanded tactics to remove DJI because they can't compete on a level playing field.
Good updates, but c'mon; 3:05 the people who are behind all these bans are people who don't want USA critical data sent off to the Chinese government. That's not a bad thing.
Painful to listen to this tripe
Doing my test next week 🙂 .
Might want to edit your title. I clicked because of the $279 million lawsuit. 2.79m is a bit smaller.
The DJI update is a complete mess. The title says 279 million, the video says 2.79 million, and you said 279 dollars.
I understand that when a video has thousands of comments people can't read them all before they throw in their two cents.
This isn't one of those videos. Why do people feel the need to reiterate what multiple comments already noted about the numbers?
The horse is dead and cold but people are still lining up to beat it. Why?
$279 or $279M?
I await and watch very few channels weekly, pilot institute is one of them without a doubt. You guys need a gear store so we can support you all further.
More of these bans will continue to appear but I don't think there will be any sort of specific "safety standard" created and applied. These bans are in part motivated by concerns over the cost/peril of "rip and replace", allowing public safety dependency on Chinese drones creates two problems, your sunk costs in equipment that would be rendered useless if there was ever a conflict with China and a vulnerability if you can't replace the useless drones quickly, especially during a national crisis. Plus, you can see with the conflict in Ukraine, military demands for drone tech will be immense, this could mean huge shortages for public safety needs.
Riddle me this, if the government is so worried about what Chinese drones may broadcast back to the CCP, why are they mandating that drones start broadcasting information for basically anyone to pick up?
No, a grand jury did not return a verdict against DJI, nor was a grand jury involved at all in that civil lawsuit. A grand jury doesn't arrive at a verdict or decide damages. A grand jury is a body that decides whether there's probable cause to prosecute someone for a felony crime.
This whole f**** industry has turned into a scam everybody's got their hand out the only thing I'm gonna pay for is a hack so I can fly my drone when I want to where I want to responsibly as I can f*** the government and f*** everybody with their hand out I paid for the drone that's mine I'm gonna fly it
