Like most computer systems, robots are extremely environment friendly… till one thing goes improper. However may they be taught to adapt to mechanical faults?

watch your words dammit. if robots finally want to overcome us, it would be even much easier if we feel sorry when we DESTROY one of them. They are not hurt, they have no real feeling, dont make it even easier for them.
If the robot works faster after you break of one lag, you suck at robot designing.
UGH! Your training them how to adapt to when we need to kill them off, once they inevitably turn on us.
REPLICATORS!!!
1:15 it's bleeding on the ground
First they will learn to limp, next they will take over the world!
That one bitch walking upside down.
I wouldn't say that it's learning to limp. Those walking patterns were already programmed into the robot. So it is merely choosing the most effective program developed by humans.
Our future robot overlords will remember the people who did this to a defenseless youngling and punish them accordingly.
This will be our downfall.
it's a fucking robot it dosen't have fucking feelings it can't be fucking harmed
we might need to reconsider if this kind if development is a good idea, shoot of a leg and the robot is still 86% combateffectiv, aim for its cpu and its done for good, but what if it is heavíly armored? gets even worse if it is an selfcontained ai…
WHAT DOESNT KILL ME MAKES ME STRONGER
Can we stop talking about robots like they care or have minds. It's this kind of magical thinking that makes people say dumb shit like "Can't you just tell my computer to work" People think this shits magic. It's not. It's just preprogramed bs. "this coming from a programmer"
This is the point we got to, humans always destroying what they create
That robot hand wich comes crawling back by itself to take revenge
You see, robots do have feelings.
I'm calling Petr
"robutt"
This would be a cool application for machine learning.. I assume that's how they got the different walks in the first place
This video's going to be used against us one day…
Impressive!
1:02 Well I have only 2 and I can move so… I'm a miracle.. right?
Very cruel
It does not learn. It does only calculate from pre defined lines of code.
Thumbs down for misleading title.
My cars ECU Trionic also doesnt learn but adapt.

I can definitely see this kind of primitive problem solving on unmanned aircraft, boats, and spacecraft. However, this process would be very difficult and expensive to accomplish, which makes for more reason to invest time, money, and resources in.
thats better than my best evolution build
This must have been inspired by the Dady long legs spider, who, as the robot, change walking style depending on how many legs it has (the spider often detaches its legs if a predator grabs them, as a survival mechanism).
So in the event of a robot apocalypse, dont try to immobilize the robot. they´ll only get faster and more angry
