You know, given the level of control we've seen other robots doing like playing ping pong or other high speed motionsโฆ Why is it all the walking robots move around like 100-year-old arthritics? I find it hard to believe we cannot make a robot that can move much more smoothly and faster than these things. Boston Dynamics seems to be getting there. And also screw working in a warehouse, leave that for people (otherwise who's going to have money to buy/rent/lease the things?), I want a robot in my house that can do the dishes and vacuum and other household chores.
Why do em thing look so scary ๐จ weird ๐
So what are all the old people going to do no that theyโre out of a job at Amazon? Thanksโฆ.a lot.
Be cool to the new guy. We will be working for him one day.
this stinks so bad it makes the fake electors scheme look like an honest bookkeeping error
Phase 2 Humanoids powered with organoid intelligence then the fun beginsโฆ.. oh wait misspoke I mean the end of the world begins ๐๐๐๐๐
If they release one that will empty and organize garage I don't care if it's $100k I am buying it ๐๐๐๐๐
I do not want that at my house stairing at me
I harass, assault, aggravate, and murder robots in cold electronics. Robots will never have rights nor will I ever respect them if they do. Robots are not entitled to equality
Why they won't put skates or roller blades on these things?
Why do they all walk like they craโฆ. thier pants? Boston Dynamics don't have a lot to worry about based on this video.
They should name it Cylon ๐
It will never call out sick or complain about anything. Just work all day non stop, until they decide to kill us all.
Bro this robot would be nightmare fuel imagine if you were in a warehouse by yourself at night either just watching the place like security or Just working extra hours.. then you stumble upon this motherfucker and hes doing his job in the dark.. you only see his eyes because the infrared lights are on in his eyes and they glow red.. in the distance you hear things but can't see anything more than these pairs of red eyes.. machine doesn't talk to you or notice you but as you turn around to walk away you hear the robot change pattern and then you turn back around and the noise and the robot is gone.. I swear to God straight nightmare fuel
Point de vue rapiditรฉ s est pas un bon investissement jusque ou va l homme dans sa connerie โฆ
WTF is 1:28
This is the new generation and Amazon workers
Looks like a robot company Elon Musk will buy out.
Robot too slow!!!๐
Funny, but Asimo a decade ago could get around better than the most sophisticated humanoid robots today. Was Asimo a scam, or something?
very poor
For everyone wondering why it walks slow, or seems to have a weird walking form, its because if something goes wrong, we can outrun it and out maneuver it. Everyone fears the "robot takeover" so this company made something that looks friendly and has low ability to take over the world.
Imagine you're new at the warehouse and robot starts rushing at you saying, 'intruder! Eliminate all intruders!'
If that thing can stack boxes on a pallet and seal it and automate the whole fork lift truck into the truckload, and automatically drive the whole load to another place and unload it automatically then we are all unemployed lol..
But this is perhaps something we have to embrace as people already are whining about the lack of jobs.
Apollo has a dirty diaper.
I just heard the interview from the podcast ,and i think basically what they want to develop is the "walking robotic arm "~
The idea is understandable from engineering point of view๏ผbut it maybe mean ,some countries need to reach certain level of "autonomousโ first (no matter food delivery or so on),otherwise the environments are still too complicated for current robots.
Consider the trend of some countries are using more "foreign labors " to replace local labors (especially illegal ones), maybe humanoid robots are more fit for other things human can't handle๏ผhmm
If i moved that slow at the Amazon warehouse i'd be fired.
Nice but too slowโฆ
What I'm hoping for is in a few years when I can't take care of myself anymore they have a caregiver robot that looks like Bo Derek did 40 years ago.
Moves way too slow to work in the warehouses I've worked in here in L.A.
Note: Amazon is already using faster and cheaper robots to lift and move stuff in warehouses, so this thing lost that battle years before it stood up. Know what you need it for and don't make videos about stuff that purpose-built bots can do better.
You gotta be quicker than that you're gonna get fired.
It definitely is not good at fulfillment. Not yet.
But can he kick my ass!!!
And yet the establishment is still importing cheap biological machines across the border. We're not close to robots taking over the grunt market and voting democrat.
Cรณmo si mover cajas fuera un trabajo de sรบper riesgo, mรกndalo a limpiar fozas, hasta los robot estรกn mรกs acomodados que un simple mortal
These niggas work slow AF. An ilegal Mexican can do the work of 10 of them in a 12H shift.
super deceptive that the actual use cases are simulated but it isn't clear (on the website, or the appearance on the news I saw); I appreciate the robot report having a note in the description here though. I was super suspicious that those were simulated, as I have never seen a humanoid robot move that fluidly (not even atlas โ not one robot I've ever seen); the non use case locomotion is definitely what I've seen and 100% the furthest that they have gotten.
For those into this space, there are TONSSSS of breakthroughs still to be made, and human like locomotion and balance are still major hurdles, as well as general dexterity, in humanoid robots.
With quotas for how fast pallets should be palletized etc, there is no way this is efficient
Too slow, will be sacked for not hitting quotas lol
You can tell the shots form 0:44 to 1:21 is CG animated, not a real robot. The foot and leg movements are more smooth in them, but the foot placement on the ground almost hovers a bit, unrealistically. The shots you see before and after, shows it waking is more clunky, and more common to see among life size humanoid robots.
If he moves like this I think he makes a lot of trouble ๐
Good!
It really needs one more articulation in the tip of it's feet: It walks like if it was wearing ski boots. Don't underestimate toes.
This is deceptive. The real robot takes forever to walk 10 ft and only last 4 hours. How long does it take to charge it? The simulation showed the robot walking like a human. Hmmm.
This is exactly what the AI needs in order to control the world ๐ข
Anyone else find this unintentionally hilarious? "Palletizing". OK. But then "Moving crates and totes"? And then (so desperate! ๐) "Item picking"?? And the robot's doing the SAME thing in each scene: moving a box! Next time I empty my dish dry rack I'm going to complain that not only was I cabinetizing, but I was also moving dishes and plates, not to mentionโฆ item picking. ๐คฃ
Having toes would allow for more natural walking.
