PaLM 2 with Bard is almost worse than what it was before, I am trying to have it complete a novel creation (one that i regularly do in GPT 4) and its consistently getting it wrong, adding things when i ask it not too, taking things out even when i am specific in my request to leave it in. It truly needs a lot more work
I watched most of the 3.5 hour Google IO presentation. The amount of woke cringe going on is extremely distracting. I'm concerned Google is going to build a "Responsible" AI that will re-write history & be super woke. We really need unbiased AIs, not nanny AIs with bias up the ying yang.
Bard is awful. GPT4 all the way!
Ai
Some tall claims but we'll see how it actually pans out in the wild!
So many executives and higher ups seem to have deluded themselves into thinking the dawn of AI means we're done with human beings when in fact the opposite appears to be true – the emergence of this new field means more human inputs are needed before we can begin to replace existing roles.
We can't automate peoples roles away if the automation can't even be relied upon yet! This is so damn basic lol.
AI is almost like a baby we have to nurture and raise together, just cause it was born doesn't mean it's ready for the world!
Not sure what kind of formal logic it was trained on, but it's not good at it. Here's a riddle solved by Bard and GPT-4.
A woman wants to rent an apartment to a person who neither drinks nor smokes. There are two potential tenants. Both tenants are telling the truth. The first one says: “I never drink. If I were to drink, I would also smoke”. The second one says: “I never smoke. If I were to drink, I would also smoke”. Which tenant, if any, will the woman choose? Solve using formal logic.
Bard:
The woman should choose the second tenant.
Tenant 1: "I never drink. If I were to drink, I would also smoke."
This statement can be translated into the following logical form:
P -> Q
where P = "I drink" and Q = "I smoke".
Tenant 2: "I never smoke. If I were to drink, I would also smoke."
This statement can be translated into the following logical form:
~Q -> ~P
where ~Q = "I don't smoke" and ~P = "I don't drink".
Now, we know that both tenants are telling the truth. This means that both statements must be true. However, the two statements cannot both be true, because they contradict each other. Therefore, at least one of the tenants is lying.
The only way for both statements to be true is if Tenant 1 is lying. This is because Tenant 1's statement implies that they do not drink, but their second statement implies that they do drink. Therefore, Tenant 1 is lying, and Tenant 2 is telling the truth.
Since Tenant 2 is telling the truth, the woman should choose them to rent the apartment.
GPT-4:
We can represent the claims of the potential tenants using propositional logic. Let's define the following propositions:
D1: Tenant 1 drinks
S1: Tenant 1 smokes
D2: Tenant 2 drinks
S2: Tenant 2 smokes
Now, let's represent the claims of the tenants in logical form:
Tenant 1 says: ¬D1 and (D1 → S1)
Tenant 2 says: ¬S2 and (D2 → S2)
The woman wants a tenant who neither drinks nor smokes, which means:
¬D and ¬S
Let's evaluate each tenant's claims:
Tenant 1:
Claim 1: ¬D1 is true.
Claim 2: If D1 were true, S1 would be true. Since D1 is false, the implication (D1 → S1) is true (a false antecedent implies a true implication). Therefore, we don't know whether Tenant 1 smokes or not based on their claims.
Tenant 2:
Claim 1: ¬S2 is true.
Claim 2: If D2 were true, S2 would be true. But we know that ¬S2 is true, which means D2 must be false. Therefore, Tenant 2 neither drinks nor smokes.
Based on the information given, the woman will choose Tenant 2, as their claims indicate that they neither drink nor smoke.
looks like human will go extend and let ai steal people job
how to use it?
Why even reveal it so soon when it's not working at all?
Amazing we should get paid without working just typing in prompts😂 🔥!
what is the diference between unicorn and bison
Useless talk. Where are the tools so that we can tinker with them?
Nope.
Please clap.
Google + AI = 10x the corruption.
Personal Assistance Language Modell (joke, its Pathways)
Google was panicked because of artificial intelligence.
No model will ever be perfect.
The presentation is so underwhelming…its pathetic.
What's the difference between this and Bard?
PaLM2 used from the API gives better replies than Bard… Seems Bard still runs on LaMDA
Palm 2 (bison) isn't as good as gpt 4, not even close to being as good as gpt 3.5
